About
It started in the wilds of Cornwall, where glasses clinked and bright eyed conversations flared around the Wild Wine Club feast table. Here we saw a desire for guests to know more about what was in their glasses, and so, Wild Wine School was born.
At Wild Wine School we deliver wine education that escapes the everyday. In Spring 2020 we set out to inspire and educate through workshops, courses and events that err on the wild side. Calling on nature to add a Technicolor edge to your experience; sharing our wine knowledge and passion in surroundings that enliven senses and expand minds.
With a focus on sustainable viticulture, we believe exploring what’s in our wine glasses shouldn’t be confined to a desk. It’s why we’re taking it back to where it all started, the great outdoors.
From in-depth WSET accredited courses that expand your mind and get your feet muddy, to Wild Wine Club banquets served under stars, Wild Wine School pours its passion into helping you experience wine in a better way.
Join us for workshops on topics we love, such as Organic and Biodynamic Viticulture, Minimal Intervention Wine Making, and An Introduction to Cornish Wines to name but a few.
Because we live and breathe hospitality, we regularly host industry events and masterclasses, bringing some of our favourite wine makers to Cornwall to share stories, insight and a glass or two of the good stuff.
We are delighted to call Agweres our home, a studio at Lanteague surrounded by like-minded small businesses. Our public courses our hosted here with views over the rolling Cornish fields and lunches made by Meg, our in-house chef. Across the road our friends at Petalon have lent us a little piece of their farm to grow veggies and create an outdoor classroom. In the Summer months, students will spend time here taking inspiration from the Wild!

Introducing London and Somerset
After nearly five years of laying down roots in Cornwall, this year we are extending our network a little further afield.
From early Summer 2024 we are over the moon to be collaborating with friend and fellow sustainability enthusiast, Mike Knowlden (Perennial Wine) to provide our courses to London and the South East. Mike is a Loire expert, Riesling nut, and a passionate, knowledgeable and encouraging educator. Mike will be hosting public courses at Crystal Palace Wine Club and delivering our private courses to the trade in the area.
Meanwhile in Somerset we are partnering with The Pony, a celebrated country pub and restaurant owned by Josh and Holly Eggleton. Nestled amidst the picturesque Somerset Hills, our students will have the opportunity to explore sensory experiences in the lush gardens while enjoying a taste of The Pony's locally sourced, environmentally sustainable dishes with a light lunch provided by The Pony's kitchen team each day.
We look forward to welcoming you to the wild side soon,
Debbie, Gina, Mike and Meg x
