Wild Wine School Terms & Conditions
Effective from 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Wild Wine School Ltd for courses, workshops, tastings, private training and events unless otherwise stated.
By booking a course or event with us, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms do not affect any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer law. Please note the standard UK cooling off period for online purchases applies only for personal bookings in relation to purchases of courses online.
2. Eligibility
All students attending courses or events involving alcohol must be aged 18 years or over.
Certain courses may have recommended prior knowledge or qualifications. These are described within the individual course information. Signing up to the course indicates that you have the required knowledge and understanding for the next level of study. If you are unsure about this please contact us at the time of booking.
3. Booking Your Course
Bookings are confirmed only when:
-
payment has been received (or an agreed payment plan has been arranged);
-
your Course Registration has been completed
-
your place has been accepted by Wild Wine School.
For WSET courses we recommend booking as early as possible.
Registration for WSET qualifications normally closes approximately two weeks before the course start date.
Students enrolling on the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines are encouraged to book well in advance to allow sufficient time for pre-course study.
4. Payment
Full payment is due at the time of booking. The only exception to this is if a payment plan has been agreed.
Payment plans are available at our discretion.
Where a payment plan is agreed:
-
a deposit will normally be required;
-
the remaining balance will usually be spread over two instalments; and
-
the full balance must be paid before the first course session.
Wild Wine School reserves the right to cancel a booking if payment has not been received in full before the course begins, and no refund of deposit, or any costs incurred for materials and enrollment wil be made.
5. Course Materials
Study materials will not be ordered or issued until after payment arrangements have been confirmed.
For WSET Level 3 courses, study materials may be issued one month or more before the course to allow adequate preparation. Students are encouraged to begin studying at least one month before the course starts.
6. Changes, Transfers and Refunds
As a small independent education provider, significant costs are incurred immediately after a booking is made, including course planning, WSET administration, study materials and wine purchasing.
For this reason, Wild Wine School does not normally offer refunds, transfers or booking changes once a booking has been confirmed.
If you notify us more than one calendar month before your course begins, we may, entirely at our discretion and subject to availability, offer a transfer to a future course.
Transfers are not guaranteed.
If exceptional circumstances prevent you from attending, please contact us. While we cannot promise an alternative arrangement, we will always consider requests sympathetically.
7. Cancellation by Wild Wine School
If Wild Wine School cancels a course, or makes a significant change to the advertised course that you do not wish to accept, you may choose either:
-
a full refund; or
-
a transfer to an alternative course, subject to availability.
Wild Wine School is not responsible for travel, accommodation or any other consequential costs.
Under normal circumstances any cancellations will be notified one month prior to the first course date.
In the event of exceptional circumstances outside of our control, all parties will be notified at the earliest opportunity and alternative arrangements will be offered.
8. Attendance
Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions.
If you are unable to attend part of your course, please notify us as soon as possible.
Where possible we will advise you on the material you have missed and recommend resources to help you catch up.
Where educator availability allows, additional one-to-one tuition may be arranged and will be charged at our published hourly rate.
9. WSET Courses and Examinations
Where applicable, examination fees are included within the course price.
Students must present valid photographic identification before sitting a WSET examination.
Results are released once received from WSET.
Typical times are:
-
up to four weeks for Level 1 and Level 2
-
up to twelve weeks for Level 3
These times are determined by WSET and are outside Wild Wine School's control.
Students who do not pass may book a resit in accordance with the current published fees.
Supported refresher programmes may also be available for selected qualifications.
10. Reasonable Adjustments and Accessibility
Wild Wine School is committed to making wine education accessible to everyone.
Students requiring reasonable adjustments should contact us as early as possible.
Where WSET approval is required, requests must be submitted within WSET's published deadlines and supported by appropriate evidence where necessary.
Reasonable adjustments may include::
-
additional examination time;
-
large-print materials;
-
assistive technology;
-
readers or facilitators; and
-
other reasonable accommodations.
11. Private Courses and Corporate Training
Private courses and corporate events are subject to an agreed quotation.
In-House Training and Private Events are subject to provision of a quote by Wild Wine School, which is accepted by the organiser.
A non-returnable 50% deposit is required at time of booking.
The full amount is to be paid at least fifteen working days prior to the date of the training / event (or first date, if training / event spans multiple days).
On booking a WSET certified in-house training, if using a new venue the organiser will be required to provide dimensions and photographs of the room where the training and exam will take place 20 working days before the course. This is to enable Wild Wine School to register the site with the WSET.
It may be possible to change the date / venue up to 15 working days before the start of the training; any additional expenses will be charged to the customer and any alternative date will be subject to availability.
Once the full amount has been paid, the training date and location cannot be amended.
The organiser is responsible for ensuring that all attending delegates complete online Course Registration in good time and the organiser should notify us by email (courses@wildwineschool.co.uk) if any registered delegate will not be attending.
If the number attending is fewer than booked, no refund is due.
If additional delegates are added, there will be additional charges for courses that include an examination and there may be charges for other courses and events.
There is no charge for amending names of delegates up to 10 working days in advance of courses that include an examination, but additions / swaps cannot be accommodated after this time due to WSET examination rules.
There is no charge for amending names of delegates up to the date of the event if it does not include an examination.
