From early Summer 2024 we are delighted to be hosting courses with Perennial Wine at Crystal Palace Wine Club.
Learn how to tell a shiraz from a merlot and a Chablis from a Sancerre with this one day beginner level introduction to wine, held at our new premises ar Lanteague Studios, Zelah. Together we’ll use our senses to explore the main types and styles of wine, and if the weather permits, we’ll step outside to learn in the inspiring setting of outdoor classroom.

How to describe wine using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT)

This course is perfect for anyone who wants to start learning about wine, either for personal interest or for those embarking on a career in wine or hospitality. No prior knowledge is required.
Where is the course held?
We're lucky enough to call Crystal Palace Wine Club our home in South London. Crystal Palace Wine Club is a start-up wine brand based in South London running events/tastings, a wine & cheese shop, an online wine delivery service, a local wine subscription & more.
Price includes tea, coffee and a light lunch each day.

About Mike Knowlden
Mike is a wine educator who shares Wild Wine School's fervour for sustainability in wine. He holds wine events under the banner Perennial Wine, for both the industry and consumers. Mike has the Diploma in Wine from WSET, alongside a varied background front and back of house as co-founder of Blanch & Shock.
