An Introduction to Organic and Biodynamic Wine Workshop at Trevibban Mill Vineyard, near Padstow Cornwall
Always wanted to know what happens in the vineyards of organic wineries? And what does a winemaker have to do to become certifiably organic? From lunar cycles to the special alchemy of plants and manure, discover how biodynamic, and organic farmers navigate the fascinating world of sustainable viticulture.
What does the workshop entail?
Each Monday throughout July and August we'll be hosting a one day workshop on Organic and Biodynamic wines. Over the course of the day you'll learn about the basic concepts of Organic and Biodynamic viticulture, taste six sustainable produced wines and have the chance to try making one of the Biodynamic preparations.
Who’s it for?
This workshop is for anyone who would like to learn more about sustainable methods of viticulture. No previous wine knowledge or certifications are required, but it'll be interesting and fun for the seasoned expert too!
Where is the course held?
We're lucky enough to call the vineyards and winery of Trevibban Mill, near Padstow our classroom. We'll spend time outside exploring the vines when we can, so please bring sensible shoes and come prepared for the unpredictable Cornish weather.
Price includes tea, coffee, tutored tastings of six wines, and Trevibban's legendary sharing boards for lunch.
